Law of Conservation Energy
Just to clarify in the Law of conservation Energy, energy cannot be gained or lost, it can only be converted from one form to another?
Re: Law of Conservation Energy
Yes, energy is neither created nor destroyed, but it can be transformed or transferred. It is conserved over time.
Re: Law of Conservation Energy
Yes, deltaU= q+W = 0 for an insolated system in an isolated universe demonstrates this.
Energy is neither created or destroyed, q= -w
Energy is neither created or destroyed, q= -w

Re: Law of Conservation Energy
This law is applied to isolated systems, but since the universe is basically an isolated system, it applies to the whole universe as well.

Re: Law of Conservation Energy
Energy can be gained or lost by a system, however, it always is gained or lost by another system in an equal amount, so it is conserved because it was neither created or destroyed.
Re: Law of Conservation Energy
Yes, the energy is converted and will be conserved throughout reactions.
