I think as long as you did your weekly 5 posts for every week as a minimum you should be okay.

I think they just count them after week 10 to make sure you've done the posts

Does anyone currently have the grades for the weekly discussion posts in their gradebook? Mine currently says N/A, I have been persistent about doing 5 posts a week, but it still scares me not knowing my current progress.

All. T.A.'s approach this differently and my T.A. said that if you miss a week you can make it up by posting more the next week. I would talk to your T.A. and see how they handle it. Some just check at the end of the quarter and see if you had 50 post in total.

As long as you did 5 posts weekly and make sure changed our username to your legal name plus your discussion, I think you'll be fine.

I think it depends on TA, if you have a number that isn't 0 in your gradebook, then your TA is checking weekly! If not, then they will probably check at the end of the quarter. It doesn't hurt to ask if your TA if you want to know your grade right now though!

Yes, it depends on the TA. Some check every week while others check at the end of the quarter. Honestly, since the TAs have so many students, I am pretty sure they just check to see if you have 50 at the end of the quarter. So, in the event that you do not, just make sure you reach 50 by tonight.

It probably depends on your TA. I have heard that some TA's just look to see if you have done 50 posts by the end of week 10.

It's entirely up to the TA- some will require you to submit 5 posts per week while others are fine with a total of 50 posts by the end of the quarter

If you made more than 5 posts on one week then can the extra posts you made that week count for next weeks or do you have to make a minimum of 5 posts each week even if you made more than 5 on previous weeks?

I thought that the posts were monitored via MyUCLA since we have to sign-on every time we post on Chem community. Therefore, as long as you have posted at least 5 times by Sunday 11:59 PM, you should get the five points of participation credit for said week.

I think it depends on your TA. Some TAs check at the very end of the 10 weeks while some check every week by Sunday night. My TA last quarter checked at the very end.
