### 3rd law of thermodynamics

According to the third law of thermodynamics, the entropy of a pure crystalline substance at 0K is 0. Does this mean that the substance is in a solid state at 0K?

Yes, I believe the substance has to be in a solid state. It must be a perfect crystalline to have zero disorder and therefore have zero entropy.

Yes, at 0K atoms cease to move, have zero entropy and are in a solid state. 0K is theoretical, it is not actually possible to reach.

Yes, since at 0K atoms can't move, so there is no disorder since there is no other possible state/position that the atoms could be in, which means zero entropy.
