yes, for galvanic cells, which have to be spontaneous in order for it to run, E has to be positive

So essentially there are 2 sets of correlations, if that's a way to put it, but you can remember it as the following.
Galvanic Cell = - = Spontaneous = + E knot = K > 1
Electrolytic Cell = = non spontaneous = - E knot = K < 1
Galvanic Cell = - = Spontaneous = + E knot = K > 1
Electrolytic Cell = = non spontaneous = - E knot = K < 1
