Heat Capacity

Postby Andrew Ghaly 3H » Sat Jan 09, 2016 11:50 pm

Heat avapcity is the amount of heat required to change the temperature of a certain substance. However, what are the exact factors that go into determining the amount of temperature required for calculations? Thanks

Heat = total heat capacity * change in temperature, knowing any two variables you can find the third. Qualitatively, the more complex the molecule the higher its heat capacity, but you will not need to calculate this.
