Equations
What are the different, but essential, equations for gibbs free energy in thermodynamics? How can we manipulate the Gibbs Free energy equation with the R constant?

By using these two equations, we can set both of them equal to each other, and manipulate them to derive the Van't Hoff Equation.

These equations are all on the formula sheet so there isn't really a need to memorize them.

∆G° = ∆H° - T∆S°and ∆G° = - RT ln K and G=-nFE are essential, but are also on your equation sheet.

In the text book I am seeing lots of equations that have (delta)G sub r, what does the r mean? I think its just reaction but I am not positive.

I would say there are three main ones, ∆G° = ∆H° - T∆S°and ∆G° = - RT ln K and G=-nFE . All of these are given on the constants sheet, and so being able to derive these equations and manipulate them to find them to your suitable variable you need to calculate is what you will most be needing to do
