Hi for problem 1D in the review, will Ecell decrease or stay the same?
true/false Ecell will increase if the size of the anode metal is increased.

I believe the Ecell doesn't change. Wasn't there a similar problem on test#2? I wasn't able to get my test back so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

If you are referring to the mass of the anode being increased, then the Ecell would not be affected. The mass does not affect the Ecell. As stated before, I believe this was a question on Test 2.

Re: Lyndon Review: 1D
Mass of the anode will not affect Ecell because sometimes they are inert in the reaction (such as when we use platinum electrodes) and because they are solids and therefore will not affect the concentration of the solutions they are in and don't necessarily participate in the reaction;

Re: Lyndon Review: 1D
Changing the size, whether it be an increase or decrease, will have no affect on Ecell. If they try to say the mass of the anode being doubled or halved, nothing will happen to the overall reaction.
