## Work+Gibbs Free Energy

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \Delta H^{\circ} - T \Delta S^{\circ}$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= -RT\ln K$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(products) - \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(reactants)$

### Re: Work+Gibbs Free Energy

the maximum work is equal to the gibbs free energy. Gibbs basically indicates how much "free" energy there is to do work.

### Re: Work+Gibbs Free Energy

When a system changes from a well-defined initial state to a well-defined final state, the Gibbs free energy, ΔG, equals the work done/exchanged by the system with its surroundings, minus the work of the pressure forces.

The Gibbs free energy of a reversible reaction is equal to the max work that can be done at const. temperature and pressure
