Gibbs Free Energy

Why is it that if "G" is a minimum then any negative value changes are always spontaneous?

Any delta G value must be a negative because in order for a process to be spontaneous no work can be put into the system to make it occur it has to be an an endothermic reaction so you delta H has to be a negative value as well as your delta G.
