Finals!

Postby lauren_tran_1L » Sat Nov 21, 2020 6:33 pm

Hi Everyone,
I'm not sure if Dr. Lavelle has addressed this already, but is the final exam cumulative, or does it only cover new material? Thanks!

I believe it is cumulative. If I remember correctly, he said that during his discussions he will go over missed questions of midterm 1 and 2 for the final.

I know that the final is cumulative but will it focus more on material learned after midterm 2?

No, I think that final will have content from midterm 1 and midterm 2 equally.

The finals are cumulative, but I'm pretty sure more of the final is going to be focused on the last topics we learned rather than anything else.

It will be cumulative, but the content from Midterms 1 and 2 should be a lot easier to study for now that we know what sort of questions to expect.

Definitely, it will cover all the term's material. However, as long as you been studying well for the last two exams the final should just be a small addition of the new content.

Does anyone know if the final will be more difficult than the midterms in addition to being cumulative? Will it also be significantly longer?

The final will be a cumulative if everything learned In class. He is going to use the midterm scores and questions to prepare us for the final.

Yes, the final exam for this class is cumulative and it includes all material from both midterms and what we cover from now until the final.

I'm pretty sure that Dr. Lavelle said that the final would cover material over the entire quarter, so yes it would be cumulative.

Since the final is cumulative, will the majority of the questions on the final be on the latest topics we've covered rather than content from midterm 1 and 2?

Is the final going to be in the same format as the midterms with only multiple choice?

Cumulative I believe! And Dr. Lavelle also said he'd go over the most missed questions from each midterm during an OH review session!

The Final is cumulative. I was also wondering how the final is going to workout. Does anyone know if we will have to join our TA's zoom when taking the final since the final is on a Sunday...

Will the final have more new material or will it be a balance of the whole year?

I'm assuming the final would focus more on new material as we have already been tested on the older stuff, but I'm not 100% sure!
