11.83 practice problem question

Postby Gabrielle Schwab 1G » Sun Jan 31, 2016 2:24 pm

For this question, why can't you just use the delta G standard conditions when calculating the delta G of the reaction for at 25 degrees C? Is it because we do not know if it is in standard conditions regarding pressure and concentration?

The standard deltaG of formation can be used to calculate deltaG of a reaction at standard conditions, but it may be slightly different from the answer got from G=H-TS
