Re: final study
I'm planning to go through the textbook problems from past chapters as well as the notes I've taken on the outlines. I'm also going to try and make it to all of the review sessions to make sure I'm focusing on important concepts and familiar with the sorts of problems that might show up on the exam.

Re: final study
I think I'll probably review as many of the textbook problems as I can, since that's what's helped me the most for midterms. Definitely skim all the lecture notes. It's kind of scary that it's going to cumulative though.
Re: final study
Hey! What I've been doing that is generally working is I read through the book sections on my own and take pretty detailed notes. Then, I zoom with a friend every night for like 3-5 nights leading up to the day of the exam and we do the book problems together, then talk about the outline and any other questions we might have. Also, there are study sessions available this week that Lavelle emailed about that I am planning on attending.

Re: final study
I'm planning to go over all the discussion sheets I did when I was studying for the two midterms to review/solidify the topics and then I'm going to spend most of my time doing textbook problems pertaining to the topics we covered in the last few weeks. I'll also attend as many Final Review workshops as possible.

Re: final study
I think going to step up sessions would be extremely helpful! Also, based on the midterm format, I'll be going over the assigned textbook prblems because they are similar to the questions asked on tests.

Re: final study
Mainly, I'm going to try to review as many textbook problems as I can and try to re-read the textbook sections we went over so I can pick up any small details I may have forgotten. I also plan to go to as many review sessions as I can, especially for the fundamental part because it's been a couple weeks since we finished that so I'd like to brush up on some of it.

Re: final study
I'm going to do textbook problems and definitely go to a lot of the review sessions!!
Re: final study
My plan for final study is going to be to attend as many final review sessions as I can and to go back and review homework problems from each week to make sure I have a decent grasp on each type of problem that can appear on the final. Also, I am going to re-watch and re-read sections of the textbook and lecture that I know I need a little extra work on. Good luck!

I'm definitely going to as many review sessions as possible and reviewing the homework problems from the textbook since most/all of the questions on the final will be from there

Re: final study
I'm going through the book and taking notes based on what the outline says we need to know and doing the textbook problems after I finish going through a section of the book to make sure I know what I'm doing. I'm also going to try to attend the review sessions and maybe rewatch some lectures on topics I want to go over again.

I'm going to try and go to all the review sessions because those are probably more productive than me studying on my own.

Re: final study
I'm going to put most of my focus in the textbook problems and making sure I understand how to do them since the final questions are going to come from the textbook. I'm also going to go through the textbook readings as well as lecture notes in addition to the many review sessions provided!

I will try to go to every single review session Prof. Lavelle posted as well as redoing some textbook questions.

Re: final study
It's a little bit time consuming, but I always rewatch lectures at like two times speed to see if there's any concepts or little tidbits of information that I might have missed that might be important. I'll write down little things that he says that I think might be helpful to me later on. Another thing that I do is restructure my notes and create a final study guide for myself that has all of the main concepts that I should focus on, or things that I need to review more on.

Re: final study
I'm planning on going through the old outlines, lecture notes and sapling questions. I also like reviewing chemistry community before tests to see if I know how to answer questions that I might not have thought of myself.

Re: final study
I will definitely go over the previous outlines to see which textbook problems to go over because Lavelle mentioned that the Final's questions will be based off of them. I also plan to attend review sessions from the TAs and UAs, and especially the ones that Lavelle is hosting.
Re: final study
I am creating flash cards for the important concepts, key terms, and formulas. I am also attending as much UA sessions office hours and PLF sessions as possible. Using UA worksheets and finding practice exams.

Re: final study
I'm reviewing every textbook problem, and putting an emphasis on questions before this unit to refresh my memory! I'll also review the notes I wrote down about why I got each problem wrong and how I can avoid making similar mistakes on like problems in the future.
Re: final study
just gonna attend as many review sessions as possible and complete all of the textbook problems

Re: final study
I'm mostly going through the textbook problems and reviewing Sapling homework from previous units. I also watch Youtube videos on topics I might be struggling with. I'll definitely be going to as many review sessions as I can throughout this week too- those will be very helpful!

Re: final study
I plan to go over my notes then go to review sessions and do a lot of practice with the textbook. Practicing problems on my own has been challenging but I think it's the best way to prepare.

Re: final study
For me, I will try to go to as many review sessions during week 10 and going over some textbook problems because I really find them helpful for reviewing for tests. Also, forming study groups would be helpful because you guys can teach each other concepts that you guys may not know which is effective in attaining information!

Re: final study
Going through the textbook problems for extra practice is probably gonna be very helpful. Also, someone here on chem community posted some review sessions that some students had over Zoom, so I’m gonna be looking into that as well!

I think I going to rewatch some of the more confusing lectures, re-read the textbook and make myself a study guide. I'm also going to try and attend some of the review sessions and do the practice questions from the textbook.

Re: final study
I am going to review over most of the textbook problems (skipping some of the fundamentals that I believe I already have good practice in), as well as review over what mistakes I made when doing my Sapling Homework and textbook problems, as well as how to avoid them. I will also be doing some of the UA worksheets as practice, and attempt to make my own practice problems.

Re: final study
All of these tips were helpful..
For me, I am going to go every all of my notes and topics and general to make sure I understand everything first. I am also going to mark sections that need review and that I may be struggling on. Then, I am going to do practice problems again in the textbook and mark any I have trouble with. Then, I am going to watch YouTube videos and go back to past lectures to clear up any misunderstandings and concepts I have trouble on.

I like to go through the sapling answer explanations, even if you got the answer correct on the first try, the explanations might have some extra tidbit of knowledge.

I plan on going through notes, lectures, and videos on the conceptual things that I miss, since that is what I have the most problem with. On the other hand, I will be doing textbook problems since I feel they will be the most similar to the exam.

Re: final study
In addition to everything above, there was another post on a study tips section that had a google doc with recorded UA meetings and worksheets. I also looked at Khan Academy for practice tests on concepts I was struggling with. Overall, textbook problems are life savers though!

Re: final study
I agree with everyone else! I think attending all the review sessions held by the TAs and UAs will help the most. I need a refresher on the topics we learned at the beginning, so I will definitely attend review sessions for those.

I plan on reviewing all my lecture notes and skimming the textbook. Then I will probably redo HW problems that I had trouble with. I will also attend UA and TA review sessions for topics I am not confident with.

Re: final study
I plan studying by going through notes, lectures, and videos on the earlier topics we covered in class. I will also review the latest topics we covered and go to the UA/TA review sessions for the topics I feel like I need more practice in. I will be also do more textbook problems since I feel they will be the most similar to the exam.
