### Calling All Who Have Done 5.35

On 5.35 it asks you to write the equation of A decomposing into B and C, given a graph(which I couldn’t figure out how to insert). Essentially it shows A coming from a partial pressure of 28 to 18 so the difference is 10 (I use this as my stochiometric coefficient), and B going from 0 to 5, and C from 0 to 10.
So I get the reaction 10A-> 5B + 10C which simplifies to 2A-> B + 2C
Where I get confused is that the partial pressure of A(18), B(5), and C(10) is that they are divided by 100. Could someone please enlighten me as to why this is. The units are labeled P/kPa. I am assuming this has something to do with it.

Hi!

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's because you need to convert to the proper SI units when calculating K for stuff. For pressures, this is atm or bar. 100 kPa per 1 atm. :>
