### Units For K

I know how to find the units for k, the equilibrium constant, when the orders for the reactants are whole numbers. However, I am confused as how to find the units when we have orders that are fractions? For instance, what would be the units for K, if the rate= K $[X]^{\frac{1}{4}} [Y]^{1}[Z]^{1}$?

Was wondering this too, is it possible to have a "partial rate order"?

The units for k would still be calculated from the overall rate order. In this example "rate=k[X]^1/4[Y]^1[Z]^1" the overall rate order would be 2 1/4 or 9/4 and so the units of k would be L^5/4 mol^5/4 s^-1, in order for the rate's units to be in mol L^-1 s^-1.
