Is there a time limit on the video? Also, do we have to post the video in a different format for each person in the group like last quarter??

Does the math we explain have to pertain specifically to the material we've covered?

Video must be uploaded to Chemistry Community by the end of Week 9.

Quality is better than length.

Only one post to upload one video. If more than one person contributed state their full names in the post.
Maximum three students.

This is different from last quarter. These are additional 10 points and only the top three videos will count for points.
Stiff competition.

MP4 files are recommended for animations and videos.
Handbrake is a free and open-source software that can be used to convert videos into MP4 format; it can be downloaded from https://handbrake.fr

Any math used in Chem 14A and Chem 14B.
See my lectures notes (which you have in the Course Reader) as the best examples to focus on to discuss, illustrate, and explain to students.

Also see the Chem 14A/B math level by looking at the following in your textbook (Chemical Principles The Quest for Insight, 6th Ed.).

Each example or derivation illustrates the application of a math relationship needed to solve a problem or derive/understand a new relationship/equation:

Chem 14A
Example: 1.2, 1.5, 11.7, 11.8, 11.10, 12.7, 12.8, 12.9, 12.10, 12.11, 13.3, 14.10
Page: 21 (green box), 22 (equation 12), 437 (green box), 474-475, 478, 524-525, 590-591

Chem 14B
Example: 11.13, 15.6, 15.7
Page (mainly algebra): 334 (green box), 355 (green box), 429-431, 451 (green box), 628 (green box), 630-631, 642-643
Page (mainly calculus): 265 (green box), 321 (green box), 616 (green box), 623 (green box), 630 (green box)

For the materials that we have to use, out of the topics covered in 14B, are we explaining the basic concepts (i.e. exponential powers) or are we basically going through steps of a problem covered? Thank you!

Any math that is used in Chem 14A and/or Chem 14B.
It could be math used to develop a concept in Chem 14A and/or Chem 14B.
Or the math used to solve a problem in Chem 14A and/or Chem 14B.

So where exactly should we post the video? Do we post in the respective subsections of the equations? (For example, a video on thermochemistry equation posted as a topic on the "Thermochemistry" section)

Does the math in video have to be specific to the equations that we do in this class or can we just explain the concepts behind them ?

All videos must be uploaded to Chemistry Community.
Make sure you upload from campus as off campus connections are usually too slow and give a time out warning.
Email me if you have an upload problem and be sure to give file size in GB (e.g., 1.2 GB).
File size has been increased to 2.0 GB.

Here is our video about the Arrhenius Equation. Please note that it is extremely weird and we made it when we were very tired. We sincerely hope no one is offended by this. Hopefully you get a laugh out of this. Enjoy!

This video was made by:
Marla Dimetrios (Lec. 3)
Jonathan Shih
Jeffrey Wang (Lec. 3)

It is attached by a YouTube URL because we got an error message saying that the attachment size is too large (even though it's only 1.9 GB, and the max. was extended to 2.0 GB). It also says the "attachment quote" has been reached. Please enjoy the video through YouTube. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks,

When I uploaded my video project, it said that it was missing the plug in, so I'm going to try to upload it again here. I've also included the youtube link just in case. Thanks!
