Write the three chemical equations that show how hypo is prepared from hydrogen sulfide and sodium hydroxide. Use (alc) to indicate the state of species dissolved in alcohol.
The first equation is N2(g) + O2 (g) --> 2 NO (g) ?
I'm stuck after this first equation.
How do I write the other two chemical equations?

I do not think the problem is correct. I may be wrong, but it seems that one part of the problem is from one question and another part is from another.
H13, which is the question I think you're referring to, is as follows:

After it escapes into the atmosphere with the other exhaust gases, the nitric oxide reacts with oxygen to produce nitrogen dioxide gas, one of the precursors of acid rain. Write the 2 balanced equations for the reactions leading to the formation of nitrogen dioxide.
First should be N2+O2=2NO
and second should be 2NO+O2=2NO2
If I were to attempt your problem, I could only find 2 equations
N2+O2=2NO and H2S+2NaOH=Na2S+2H2O

Hi,
This is Jimmy from Lecture 1
I just got to this problem and I think the problem says 2 equations and not 3. In this case
one of the equations would be N2+O2 -> 2NO and the other would be 2NO + O2 ->2NO2
