Quiz one topics
So just to be certain, the quiz is going to include all that we've learned in the lectures up until this Friday, the topics in the modules, homework, and the fundamentals right? Will the focus in the fundamentals be only on the ones assigned (E, F, G, H, L1-2, M) or will it generally include all the fundamentals section?

I think Chapter 1 will also be included on the quiz (as far as we have gone through in Chapter 1 at least). But I have another question, will the quiz be more conceptual or more mathematical? I don't really know how to best prepare myself for the quiz..

My TA told us that it'll be everything we've learned so far. Also on Professor Lavelle's website, the quiz and exam schedule is up and it says quiz 1 will cover all material from the beginning (including fundamentals) through October 7th, which is Friday's lecture (: I hope that helps!

Re: Quiz one topics
As I announced in class today the workbook is excellent preparation and quiz 1 covers Fundamentals, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2 up to Oct 7.
Re: Quiz one topics
Everything I've heard about the quizzes are they are very fast paced, but the workbook is the best way to prepare yourself for the actual quiz itself. Can we get help on workbooks with the TAs and the UAs?

Yea I'd like to know about that too. Also, are we allowed to work together on the quiz we turn in?

Another question: When we calculate wavelength, will the answer be correct if I leave it at m or must I convert it to nm? I've only been converting if the question says to but I want to be sure

Re: Quiz one topics
Im pretty sure that you dont have to convert it unless otherwise stated in the problem.
