Re: Chem 14A Midterm Fall 2016 Rooms & Review Sessions
I have a lecture right before this midterm so I will not have time to go back to the hill to drop off my backpack, my phone, and all my books. May I bring my backpack into the testing room and leave it in the front and/or with the test proctor? If not, is there anywhere else I can store my stuff?

Yes you can put your backpack, etc., at the front of the room.
Re: Chem 14A Midterm Fall 2016 Rooms & Review Sessions
Will any new material from lecture early this week be on the midterm?

Are any of the homework or past quiz problems going to be on the midterm?

Re: Chem 14A Midterm Fall 2016 Rooms & Review Sessions
I noticed that sometimes the constant values given in our notes/course reader does not exactly match the laminated periodic table we received with the course reader.
For example, h=6.626E-34 in our reader but is more specifically stated as h=6.62608E-34 on the periodic table
Also c=3.00E8 vs c=2.99792E8; R=3.29E15 vs R= 3.28984E15
Even though the difference is relatively small, it can mess up the sigfigs. So my question is on the midterm will we be given a formula sheet that lists the exact numbers/constants we are suppose to use in our calculations?

My TA told us that as long as you write out whatever number is given in your calculations fully (like 2.99792E8 instead of 2.998) you will get the correct answer. So whichever constant is written on the midterm formula sheet, I would just use that but make sure I don't simplify until the very end.

Yes! As announced many times.
For example read Quiz and Exam Schedule that states:
"both the midterm and final will include one homework question."

Will the midterm be scaled? If so, how soon will we find out?

In class Professor Lavelle mentioned that the detailed solutions were posted online. However I couldn't hear what he said afterwards so I was wondering if he stated exactly where. I can't seem to find it on Chem Community or the Class website.

My TA said the grades should be on myUCLA so probably when they've all been handed back (?) but yeah I don't know where the solutions are.
