Kc vs Kp and all the other constants
Hello! One thing I was confused about was the difference between Kc and Kp. I understand how different units are supposed to be used for both but I don't really get the difference between them conceptually. Can someone explain the difference between them, and if there are any other K I'm missing? Thanks

Kc and Kp are the equilibrium constants of gaseous mixtures but the difference between them is that Kc is defined by molar concentrations, whereas Kp is defined by the partial pressures of the gasses inside a closed system. I think that for Kp it should be all gases in the reaction whereas for Kc the reaction can be mixed. Not sure if I answered your question.

When you say the reaction can be mixed for Kc, are you talking about certain reactants or products being in different phases, like aqueous? If so, then would that mean Kp and Kc would be different if not all the reactants and products were gases?
