When to use atm v. bar units
Should we always use atm (unless specified in the question to use bar)? For instance, Q8 on p. 43 of the quiz workbook asks us to calculate the equilibrium partial pressures but does not specify which units to use. Q10 on the following page requires you to convert from molar concentration to partial pressures but again does not specify units.

Re: When to use atm v. bar units
I think that you can use either bar or atm. I would use atm since the problems we have encountered thus far use atm for solutions.

1 atm = 1.01 bar
We accept both atm and bar in Chem 14A and 14B since they are so similar, but 1 bar is the standard reference for pressure.
The difference between atm and bar is about 1%.
