Practice Quizes

Are there any answers or solution manuals available to us for the practice quiz in the course reader or way to find out if we are doing the problems correctly? Thank you! :)

A lot of the TA's are reviewing them in discussion this week i believe, and you can also go to office hours for specific questions.

It is important that students have something without answers so that they have to think independently to get to the answer.

Not having the answers will hopefully also encourage you to work with your peers and figure out the solutions to these problems.

Do we have quizzes this quarter similar to 14A with Lavelle? If we do how do we turn in the graded quizzes, just on a piece of lined paper?

We still have quizzes this quarter yes, but the ones in the course reader are for practice only. Our actual quiz will be in class during section and our TA will hand us a printed copy of the quiz, just like they did in 14A, and we will have 40 minutes to take the quiz. That quiz will then be graded, and count towards our grade.

Hi this is my first quarter taking Lavelle and I was wondering for the in class quizzes, how soon are they graded after we turn them in to our TA?

It could depend on your TA, but they are typically returned a week after you take the quiz.

The number of questions will probably be similar to the number on the practice quizzes!
