Converting L/atm to Joules

Postby bridgetfoy_1D » Thu Jan 26, 2017 8:28 pm

A problem from chapter 8 requires you to convert units L/atm to J using the "equivalency of the ideal gas constants" (taken from the answer book). I am not sure what that means or how to make this conversion.

On the periodic table that came with Lavelle's course reader there are a bunch of equations and conversions that we will always be given on a exam or quiz and it includes the conversion from L.atm to J. It shows that 1L.atm=101.325J so with simple stoichiometry you can do the conversion. Hope that helps!
