Re: Quiz 1
The first quiz will cover everything we've discussed about Thermochemistry and Thermodynamics. For calculation questions, I would study the entropy and enthalpy questions we covered in both lecture, discussion, and the course reader as well as all the recent information we learned about Gibbs Free Energy.

Re: Quiz 1
The quiz will be on chapters 8,9, and chapter 11.11-11.13 and 11.3.
Go over the course reader! I'm sure that outlines what parts you need.
Best,
Stephanie

Re: Quiz 1
There is also a practice test that you can use to review on page 113 of the course reader.

Re: Quiz 1
From what I've heard, quiz 1 is very calculation heavy. Doing the recommended problems in the textbook and the practice quiz in the course reader should definitely help! Make sure to be familiar with all of the equations discussed in class/used in chapter 8, 9, and the 11!

Re: Quiz 1
When will we receive the answers for the practice quizzes in the course reader? Will they have step by step solutions, or will they be solely numerical?

Re: Quiz 1
The answers are already posted, and they are just numerical but you can ask on Chemistry Community for solutions or in office hours/peer facilitated learning sessions, which I find helpful.

Re: Quiz 1
Is there only practice quiz set with numerical answers available for us from Professor Lavelle?

Re: Quiz 1
I believe he only posted numerical value solutions because he wants us to figure out how to get the solutions ourselves.
