Order reactions
What are the differences between 1st order reaction, 2nd order reaction, and Zero-order reaction, and under what circumstances would we use either 1st, 2nd, or Zero Order reactions?

Zero order reactions have rates that are not affected by a change in the concentration, first order reactions have rates that are proportional to the change in the concentration, and second order reactions have rates that are proportional to the square of the change in the concentration. We won't be able to determine which order a reaction is from just the equation, but we can look at the change in the concentration. I hope this helps!

You can determine which type of reaction it is by looking at how the rate changes in response to concentrations. Based on this, you can determine which order reaction it is and use the correlating equation.

Order reactions are determined by looking how the rate changes in relation to the concentration. Then you can use the proper equation and apply it to the problem.

The order of the reaction is the addition of the exponents in the rate law equation. The different orders help you to determine the rate of the reactions in reference to the consumption of reactants. The order is an important aspect in the rate law.

The order of the reaction depends on the exponents of the rate law, either determined through a given mechanism or through a table of experimental values showing the rate of reaction at different reactant concentrations.
