For the electrophilic addition reaction of HBr and propene to produce 2-bromopropane, why can we assume that the reaction is exergonic and show the products as more stable than the reactants in the potential energy diagram?

Good question and I still have little clarity after asking this question myself. However, the answer I have received is that we will just be given that information and will have to draw/ label a reaction profile.

Also, most electrophilic addition reactions involving double bonds are exothermic since the pi bond that is broken is weaker than the single bonds that are formed.
