### winter 2015 final 7B

The question asks for the reverse activation energy. The explanation says that because it is an exothermic reaction, it will have a reverse activation energy of delta enthalpy+the forward activation energy. How did they get this equation and will we need to know this on the final?

Activation energy is defined as the difference between the transition state. If we look at the reverse reaction, we can flip the labels of reactants and products. So the reverse activation energy is the difference between the original reactants and products plus the difference between the original reactants and transition state.

I don't understand how we can reverse the activation energy and how that fits into any equation. Ea(r)... from delta H + E(a) is the reverse of what equation?
