Lewis Base and Lewis Acid

Postby Alma Cruz 1A » Sun Jul 16, 2017 9:07 pm

Can someone please explain the difference between a lewis acid and a lewis base?
How can we determine which is the acid or base in an equation or structure, if given one?

A Lewis base donates pairs of electron
A Lewis acid is the acceptor because it accepts pairs of electrons. An example of a Lewis acid is the H+ ion.
