How to Find Bond Angle

How do you find the bond angle for a molecule or compound?

Figure 4.1 in the textbook can help you determine the bond angles. And when they are lone pairs, the bond angle will be typically less than the standard do to the electron repulsion. So say I have a bent structure, with 3 regions of electron density. The bond angle would be less than 120 because the extra lone pair pushes the two atoms closer to each other.

The bond angles are determined theoretically by the different geometric shapes of the compounds with consideration of any lone pairs that may change the arrangement.
