Writing Hybridization

Postby Alyssa Parry Disc 1H » Mon Nov 20, 2017 8:54 pm

When writing the hybridization in what order does it go in? I've seen it as both sp2d and as dsp2. Which is best or which is correct?

In the solution manual it is written with d at the end.

In lecture, Dr. Lavelle mentioned that it does not matter in which order you write them.

Lavelle says both ways will be accepted on a test and doesn't matter. Both ways are correct.
