Q.11.37

Postby Jason Muljadi 2C » Sun Nov 26, 2017 12:55 am

For the reaction N2(g) + 3 H2(g) Δ 2 NH3(g) at 400. K, K = 41. Find the value of K for each of the following reactions at the same temperature:
(a) 2 NH3(g) --><-- N2(g) + 3 H2(g)
(b) (1/2) N2(g) + (3/2) H2(g) --><-- NH3(g)
(c) 2 N2(g) + 6 H2(g) --><-- 4 NH3(g)

Am I supposed to make an ICE Chart with this or can I find the answer using Table 11.2? Or am I supposed to do both?

I don't think an ICE chart would be necessary for this set of problems; and Table 11.2 will only help you to a certain extent. One helpful table to take a look at wold be Table 11.3. Table 11.3 demonstrates the relationships between the equilibrium constants and the format of the chemical equation.
