Writing equations with acids and bases
When writing the equation for a reaction with acids and bases, should we write the double arrows to represent that it is a forward and backwards reaction when strong acids and bases are involved even though they essentially completely associate?

Hey!
For strong acids and strong bases, I'm pretty sure we use the forward arrows only because strong acids and strong bases dissociate completely.
Hope this helps! :)

I agree, I think by omitting the double arrows and instead just having one forward arrow better shows your understanding of the reaction that is occurring. It shows that you have recognized that this is a strong acid/base.

Will the test tell us whether it's strong acid/base or not or we need to remember some?

Yeah we'll need to memorize which acids and bases are strong
