### Ideal Behavior

When a problem states assume ideal behavior (such as in 9.11), what exactly are we assuming?

In general, when a problem says to assume ideal behavior, it is referring to the ideal gas law:
PV=nRT

The term "ideal behavior" simply means that the gas is acting like an ideal gas and would follow the ideal gas equations (PV=nRT).
