Mass and molar entropy

Why do substances with larger masses have larger molar entropies?

I'm guessing this has to do with the overall size of the molecule which could hint at the existence of more states /degrees of freedom and therefore more entropy. For example, everything has translational states, but as you get larger the molecules will have vibrational states and rotational states as well.

The heavier the molecules are, the more vibrational energy levels they have available. The more energy levels they have, the greater the entropy.

Individual atoms and molecules with more mass also have more subatomic particles and therefore greater complexity and higher degeneracy (W), which is why the more massive atoms have higher molar entropies than the smaller atoms.
