Does anyone know where the 0.38 J/Cg come from?

0.38 J/g C is the specific heat of copper, meaning the total heat supplied includes heating both the water and the copper kettle.

You can find the specific heat values on pg. 269 (table 8.2)!

.38J/g C is the specific heat of Copper, these values can be found in a table in chapter 8
