Do we need to know troutons rule at all?

It is not listed in the lecture outlines, but it is pretty simple: the definition from the book is "the empirical observation that the entropy of vaporization at the boiling point is approximately 85 J/Kmol for many liquids." Self-Test 9.7A and B are some examples of how you can use the rule in a problem.

Exercise 9.17 (which is on Trouton's Rule) is skipped on the outline, so I don't think so.
