enthalpy vs standard

Postby Ekayana Sethi 2K » Mon Feb 12, 2018 5:03 pm

what is the difference between enthalpy of a reaction and the standard enthalpy of reaction? for which one do we have to divide it by moles to get it for per mole?

Standard enthalpy is the change in enthalpy for one mole under the conditions of 1 atm and 298 K.

what if the standard reaction takes place for 2 moles? eg 2H2+o2----> 2H20. do we also divide this by 2 to find enthalpy in KJ/mol?
