Cell diagram acidic/basic

Postby Justin Lau 1D » Fri Feb 16, 2018 11:08 am

Is it necessary to write H+ or OH- for the cell diagram if the solution is acidic/basic and they are in the half reactions?

Yes because they contribute to the electron balance

Yes because their relative concentrations are necessary for the proper balance of electrons in the half reactions.

Yes because since you are using both those specific methods, you have to add either OH or H+ to signify that.
