Delta S total is zero but delta S of the system is not necessarily equal to zero.

in a nonreversible process, S(system) is most likely not equal to S(surroundings), so S(total) would not be equal to zero.

DeltaS total would be zero, which means that deltaS system=-(deltaS surroundings)

Whenever there's a reversible system, delta S total would be zero, also remember that internal energy is zero when the system is reversible

Does deltaS total always equal 0 in a reversible process? Is it possible for deltaS to be 0 in an irreversible system, and why or why not?
