Is the anode the oxidizing agent or the one being oxidized?
for example;
Zn-> Zn^2+ + 2e- (Reducing agent but is the one oxidized)
Cu^2+ + 2e- -> Cu ( Oxidizing agent but is the one being reduced)
anode?

Re: anode?
You can also remember that in a galvanic cell, the electrons flow from left to right. Since the oxidation is the process of losing electrons, it must occur in the left side of the cell, which is the anode.

Re: anode?
The anode is where oxidation occurs. In this case the Zinc is being oxidized. The Zinc is also referred to as the reducing agent since it is being oxidized
Re: anode?
Anode is the one being oxidized. Oxidizing agent is a substance that has the ability to make other substances oxidized, meaning this substance causes the other substances to lose electron.
