14.15 given half reactions?

Postby Paula Dowdell 1F » Mon Feb 19, 2018 10:57 pm

Write the half-reactions and devise a galvanic cell (write a cell diagram) to study each of the following reactions:
(b) H+(aq) + OH-(aq) --> H2O(l), the Brønsted neutralization reaction

Are we given the half reactions for this problem or is there some way to figure it out without? I don't know when or when not to look in the appendix.

I looked in the appendix for that one since I don't think there is a straight forward way to come up with them.

I also used the appendix. I think we will receive a sheet with half reactions that we will need for the test.

You should use the appendix to find the half reaction.
