Cell Diagram Structure
What does a cell look like and are there any rules for how they're drawn out?

Re: Cell Diagram Structure
Usually writing a cell diagram is something like this (item)|(item)||(item)|(item)
In each slot you fill in the elements of the cell setup. One side is the cathode and one is the anode; the book's examples will tell you exactly what goes where though.

Re: Cell Diagram Structure
Generally the format that the book takes is anode electrode|anode solution||cathode solution|cathode electrode.

Re: Cell Diagram Structure
You use one | to represent different phases in contact with each other and two || to indicate the salt bridge.
