Cell Diagrams
Can someone please explain to me how the commas work in cell diagrams? I don't know what they signify and when to use them? Are they similar to the | in the diagram or do they mean something completely different?

The commas are used when both substances are in the same phase, use | when the substances are in different phases.

The commas mean that they are in the same phase.
" | " means that they are in different phases
"||" is the salt bridge that separates the anode from the cathode
