### Homework 14.41

Why the solution manuals writes Ecell*=0 for b) part as the concentration of H+ are not equal for reactants and products.

Ecell isn't 0 because of the concentration difference, but Ecell* of the H+ half-reaction equals 0 by definition (also noted in the appendix).

Hi,

I also think that it might have to do with it being E*cell of the reaction. As we know, this is related to K and so when there is equilibrium we would have a voltage of 0.
