Where did the solution manual get the equation ln(k'/k)=Ea/r(1/T-1/T') from?

I believe this equation was derived from the equation on the constants and equations sheet: k=A exp(-Ea/RT), where ln(k'/k) was used because of the reaction being first order and T being extracted from (-Ea/RT) to become Ea/r(1/T - 1/T'). I'm not entirely sure about this, but I hope this helps.

Does anyone know why they used kilojoules in this problem? When i use regular joules (R= 8.314 J/Kxmol) I get a completely different answer.

I calculated using joules and had my answer off by a factor of 103 which is reasonable because converting to kilojoules would provide me with the same answer as the solution manual. Perhaps there was some miscalculation in the process?
