## Arrhenius Equation, Temperature, and Rate Constants

Arrhenius Equation: $\ln k = - \frac{E_{a}}{RT} + \ln A$

### Arrhenius Equation, Temperature, and Rate Constants

I'm still kind of confused. How do the rate constants at different temperatures relate to the Arrhenius equation, and how do you solve these problem types where you need to determine either a rate constant or the activation energy.

Basically, how do you set up with Arrhenius equation with rate constants and why do you set it up in that way?

Arrhenius equation: k=Ae^(-Ea/RT)
From it, you get the equation: ln(k2/k1)=(-Ea/R)(1/T2-1/T1)

If the problem asks you to solve k or Ea at one T, use the first equation. If the tells you to find k for a certain reaction at different reaction, use the second equation.
