The Arrhenius equation is
. It allows you to see how the rate constant is related to the frequency factor, temperature, and activation energy. You can use the equation to see how the rate constant changes when one of the three factors affecting it is changed. Additionally, you can also use the equation to find the activation energy/temperature/frequency factor for any given k value by plugging everything into the equation and working to isolate the variable in question.

I think for the purposes of this class, we're mainly going to use this equation to see how temperature relates to k. My TA said that we aren't really going to be using the frequency factor (A) here often cancels out in the way we use this equation. Page 642 of the textbook is helpful to see how to get rid of A (if you have the pdf textbook its the 784th page)
