Gibbs and Activation Energy
Hi! Is there a relationship between Gibbs energy and activation energy? Thanks! :)

Re: Gibbs and Activation Energy
From my discussion section, on the reaction profile, our TA defined the difference in energy between the reactants and products as the ∆G (in reference to kinetics). Activation energy is the minimum energy required for the reaction to take place. I don't think we defined much of a relationship between the two however. So, I'm guessing that even if there is (which there probably is), it isn't relevant to the topic at hand.

Re: Gibbs and Activation Energy
The SI unit for change in Gibbs free energy would just be the SI unit for Gibbs free energy (kJ/mol).
