Cell Diagram: Porous Disk and Salt Bridge

Postby Rachel N 1I » Sat Mar 17, 2018 12:00 am

When drawing a cell diagram, do we use a double vertical line for both the porous disk and salt bridge?

i believe that when using a porous disk we use a single line, and when using a salt bridge we use a double line.

Will we be told if a porous disk or salt bridge is being used or is there a way to figure that out?

I think for the most part the question will tell you which one is used. Overall, if the question asks what its function is, both essentially perform the same functions by allowing for the movements of solutes to prevent charge buildup.

For the salt bridge, we use the double line and for the porous disk we use a single line.
