Can someone please explain Pseudo Rate Laws and how they are obtained. Thank you

This explains the meaning of a psuedo rate law, which ultimately is a concentration of one reactant thats greater than the other

Pseudo rate laws are where we make everything but 1 factor constant by making the number very large to calculate for the specific order.

We can say that a reaction is a "pseudo 0/1/2 order" when we are examining one reactant and other others are in excess. In this case, the rate depends on that one reactant and is the pseudo order of whatever that reaction's exponent is. It is not the overall order because the other reactants must be taken in to account.

One reactant is in large excess so we can ignore its concentration and find the psuedo rate law of the other reactant.
