Value of speed of light

Postby Or Fisher 1I » Fri Apr 13, 2018 3:29 pm

Hello
I was trying to answer question 1.7 and when I looked in the solution manual I saw that it put the speed of light constant to be 2.998*10^8, however in class we were using the rounded 3.00*10^8 so I was wondering which one we should use in calculations? Thanks.

I believe we're supposed to use 3x10^8 m/s. On exams/tests we'll be given a sheet with all the important constants included, so don't stress too much about it.

Use whichever constant is given on the test just to be safe.

Just use given values.

I know the questions would not be correlated with one another, but wouldn't using different values make your results inconsistent?
